What the housing here is like

The County has the oldest character stock in the region and the harshest exposure — wind off the lake on three sides. Century houses need fascia and capping done sympathetically, and waterfront exposure is hard on aluminum. Both are worth saying out loud in a quote.

That matters for pricing. A house built before 1980 usually has wood fascia under the aluminum, and about a third of the time some of it has gone soft. We check before we quote rather than finding it on install day and handing you a change order.

What we do in Prince Edward County

Nothing you have to take on faith

  • WSIB covered

Clearance certificate handed over with the quote, before a ladder goes up. Ask any contractor for theirs.

  • $2M liability insured

Certificate on request, same day. If someone hesitates when you ask, that tells you something.

  • 5-year workmanship warranty

Printed on the quote itself, not promised out loud. Separate from the manufacturer's material warranty.

  • Owner on every job

The person who quoted your house is the person on the ladder. No handoff to a crew you have never met.
